Hychico
Argentina

This pilot project shows how the potential of renewable energy can be unleashed with the help of our hydrogen-capable Jenbacher energy solutions. In the Argentinean part of Patagonia, Hychico has built a 6.3 MW wind farm with a connected electrolysis plant. The high-purity hydrogen (99.998%) produced here is stored in an underground tank and can be converted back into electricity as needed at any time using the Jenbacher J420 engine installed on site. This is how the energy transition works!

Biomont, Canada

Built in under 12 months, the Biomont biogas cogeneration plant is based on three advanced technology Jenbacher J612 engines from the INNIO Group, each with an electrical output of 1.6 MW. By converting biogas into electricity and heat, the power plant now transforms a polluting source into a valuable renewable energy source that keeps the lights on in Montréal's St. Michel neighborhood and allows Cirque du soleil artists to develop new shows in a warm and comfortable environment.

Biogas plant
Wangdee, Thailand

The biogas power plant delivers an output of 3.2 MW - more than enough to cover the entire electricity requirements of the biogas plant in Wangdee. All of the plant's wastewater and solid waste is also used by the engines. The highly reliable on-site power generation solution significantly reduces the processing plant's energy costs as it no longer needs to buy electricity from the grid or oil for heat. Furthermore, the plant can now make additional profits by selling surplus electricity to the local grid.
